India has a strong national identity, its population is intensely proud of its history and equally optimistic about its future.

India's Republic Day commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. While celebrations take place across India, the focal point is the Republic Day Parade that takes place along Delhi's Rajpath.

The Parade celebrates the service of India's Army, Air force and Navy and attracts legions of spectators.

While it's tempting to write in depth about how India's identity will evolve as the country becomes increasingly international, I'd rather just draw your attention to the video of the dancing soldiers!
